Some of you probably don’t like books, and I can understand why, but let me clarify your perspective about books, and here are some of the reasons why books (whether is fiction or non-fiction) will benefit your life and makes your life much easier:

1.  It Improves Your Knowledge

Some people won’t admit their foolishness or lack of knowledge about something. Some people just love to pretend to be the smartest in what they are doing. One of the main reason is because they don’t like to read.

People perish because of their lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6), furthermore, they rejected knowledge. Knowledge is not hard to find these days, they simply just being ignorant and don’t want to learn.

As Stephen Hawking says:

“The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance. it is the illusion of knowledge.”

2. It Improves Your Vocabulary

Reading improves your vocabulary a lot. You could express more words from your mouth and turn them into words as well. The beauty of words appears when we have enough knowledge and information about it. We put our soul, emotion and time when we read, and the highest achievement you could get from that is to be able to express is out.

3.  It Enables You To Think Critically

Some people don’t like to think critically, and it’s because they don’t know anything, and they can’t filter the information they had. Reading books will help you to think critically; Furthermore, you will have many options as your knowledge improves and be more sensible and have good judgment about something.

4. Discipline

Reading could take a lot of effort if you don’t put your whole being into it. Buying some books is an easy task, but, to open and read them is so. By reading books, you will learn to have focus, concentration and determination.

5. It Will Help You To Manage Your Time

Holidays, watching movies will drain your money, and the amount of time and effort you put will never be enough for you. However, One book could make the difference. Buy it once, and you can read it until the very last breath you will take later on, and most importantly, you can read it anywhere!

“there is no friend as loyal as a book.”

Ernest Hemingway
