Good things always delight us, makes us happy, and it doesn’t get better than that. How do you expect bad things coming out from good things ? Most and all of us probably gonna say never. God want us to experience the joy and the glory of all the goodness He has gave to us. I love good things, and i always do. Everyone wants to feel good about themselves, but the problem actually began in good things as well.
Remember the story of Adam and Eve ? Where the devil tempted Eve to ate the fruit of knowledge of “good” and evil.
The devil does not trying to put man into bad things, he wants them to know about good things, which is outside from God.
The world is trying to make our identity based on what we could see, feel, and think(Social media, girlfriend, boyfriend, magazine, acceptance of others, morally good and etc.)
I don’t say that’s wrong, but sometimes we chase these things to make us comfortable of ourselves. We buy the lie, we sold our soul to these things, not because it’s sin, yet most of us have been deceived daily, months or maybe longer than we thought.
Isaiah 40:31 describes about our struggles as its best
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Running into Jesus is the best thing that shall make us in peace and joy, wherever you are, whatever what your situation is. God doesn’t care if you just swimming in the pool of dirt earlier, He will clean you up, suit you with the coat of righteousness.
Our God loves us so much, He proud of us, He delight us, the way we are right now, not tomorrow.
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Good things are not bad, it always good which we could use wisely and thoughtfully in our lives which express our identity in Jesus.
so we better watch out for the good things, which is Jesus Himself also, because He will try so hard to embrace us and love us all the time and you can’t escape from Him.
